We are seeking experienced Electricians to support our broader repairs and maintenance team by efficiently and effectively delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair work across all existing and new projects. This role involves performing all aspects of electrics, general repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment work within tenanted, commercial, and void properties. A key focus is achieving a first-time fix for all jobs undertaken, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include: Key projects will include the maintenance of emergency lighting systems, as well as Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lighting, and wiring Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning Complete required documentation of repairs and service information Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts Calibrate equipment to provided specifications Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs Communicate with the wider repairs and maintenance and trade personnel in team as well as liaise with clients, suppliers and other trades Essential Skills and Knowledge NVQ level 3 or above 18th Edition Test and inspect 2391 – Desirable Proven ability to deliver high quality electrical works to meet client expectations on projects whilst maintaining efficient output Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures Capability of taking initiative and working independently Ability to communicate with key stakeholders effectively and confidently Working arrangements Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon – Fri) Location: Barking & Dagenham area (travel throughout the borough will be required as part of the role) Pay: £40,000 per annum Driving is required as part of the role as such as full clean UK driving licence is essential. DBS required due to the nature of occupied premises and sites.
