Rate: £25£40 per hour
Contract: Locum / Ongoing
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting two experienced Locum Children & Families Social Workers to join supportive and well-established teams in Scottish Borders. These are excellent opportunities for practitioners seeking stability, manageable caseloads, and a positive multi-agency working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments of need and risk
* Develop and review outcome-focused care and protection plans
* Carry out child protection work, including Section 47 enquiries and core groups
* Work directly with children, young people, and families
* Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records
* Participate in team meetings, multi-agency discussions, and supervision
Requirements
* Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
* SSSC registration
* Experience within Children & Families statutory services
* Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills
* Ability to manage your caseload effectively
* Enhanced PVG (or willingness to undertake one)
