Skills and Qualifications
Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Architectural Conservation, Historic Buildings, Archaeology, or related field
Experience
* Knowledge of historic buildings and conservation issues
* Report writing and archival research (mapping, primary & secondary sources)
* Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
* Familiarity with Statements of Significance, Need, faculty applications, and consent forms
* Ability to assist in site inspections, photographic documentation, and condition surveys
* Organized and methodical; team-oriented with willingness to learn
* IHBC membership (or working towards it) is desirable

Job Description
As a Built Heritage Consultant, you will:
* Assist in preparing Statements of Significance and Need
* Support site visits, inspections, and fabric documentation
* Conduct desk-based historic research using maps and archives
* Draft planning documents, faculty applications, and statutory forms
* Contribute to conservation appraisals and planning submissions
* Collaborate with local authorities, DAC officers, and heritage professionals
* Attend internal team meetings and external consultations (remote or on-site)
* Maintain organized records and reports using studio systems
* Embrace a collaborative, learning-driven team culture
Stay updated on workshops, design tools, and calls for collaboration.
