We’re opening a warm, welcoming restaurant and bar inspired by Hong Kong home cooking, where fresh ingredients, authentic flavours, and heartfelt hospitality come together.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead, inspire, and grow with us. You don’t need prior Cantonese cooking experience—just a passion for food, great leadership skills, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide training to help you master the flavours and techniques.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a collaborative kitchen team
* Work on seasonal menus, blending tradition with creativity
* Oversee budgets, stock, and food safety
* Train & support your team’s growth and development
* Manage rotas, scheduling & cost control
Qualifications
* Experienced Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
* Passionate about fresh, home-style cooking (any cuisine welcome!)
* Strong leader & mentor, keen to support and develop a diverse team
* Organised & creative, with an eye for quality and efficiency
* Open to learning new techniques and flavours
Required Skills
* Leadership skills
* Passion for food
* Ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Skills
* Experience in Cantonese cooking (not required)
* Creativity in menu development
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Tronc = £60/£65,000
