The Opportunity
Our client is a forward-thinking renewable energy developer, specialising in utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline, a supportive team culture, and a reputation for innovation, they are looking for an experienced Project Development Manager to help deliver their next phase of growth.
The Role
As a Project Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from early-stage site identification through to planning consent and grid connection. You’ll be working closely with landowners, local authorities, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are not only commercially viable but also make a positive impact on the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects across the UK.
* Manage the planning process, liaising with consultants, local authorities, and stakeholders.
* Oversee grid connection applications and negotiations with DNOs.
* Build strong relationships with landowners and project partners.
* Drive projects from origination through to ready-to-build status.
About You
* Proven track record in UK renewable energy development (solar or storage preferred).
* Strong knowledge of planning, grid, and land acquisition processes.
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with genuine passion for clean energy.
