Workshop Assistant - training to progress to Fabricator!
Tonbridge own transport ESSENTIAL
c.£25k-32k dependent on skillset
Hours – 6.30am – 4pm Monday – Friday (overtime possible weeknights and Saturday mornings)
Fantastic exclusive opportunity for a Prefabrication Assistant to join a successful, established organisation who cultivate a great working environment, based in the Paddock Wood area.
Duties include:
Working in a small team within a busy metal fabrication workshop using a range of hand tools
Reading technical drawings accurately
Supporting the fabrication process, learning the process within a metal fabrication environment
Using machinery and power tools
Maintaining the highest quality whilst working to productivity targets
Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
Providing support to the wider team as required
Carrying out Quality Control checks as and when required
Accurately measuring to specification
Working to all health and safety rules and regulations
To be considered for this role, you will:
Have some relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
Be interested in mechanics/mechanical engineering – ideally demonstrated through qualifications/education or personal projects
A positive, upbeat personality with a genuine passion for work!
Have a clear desire to build a career within a business long term, able to demonstrate loyalty and commitment
Take pride in your attention to detail
Be able to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements
Have a good level of physical fitness
Be keen and enthusiastic to learn
