MedGenis looking for a compassionate and dedicated children mental health care assistant to provide essential care and support for children with diverse needs.
This role involves working closely with children in care, those with disabilities, and those requiring emotional and behavioural support.
KeyResponsibilities
* Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children in care.
* Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities. Work closely with families, carers, and health care professionals to ensure children’s well‑being.
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
* Help children develop essential life skills and independence.
* Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies.
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a health care assistant with children who have mental health needs.
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.
* Ability to provide a clinical reference.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* In date PMVA training.
* 3 years UK health care experience.
* Personal Business car insurance.
