The Role
The Head of Data & Insights is a senior leadership role reporting to the Commercial Director, responsible for defining and delivering the organisation’s data strategy while leading and developing a high‑performing Data & Insights team. The role oversees the end‑to‑end delivery of accurate, timely and largely self‑serve reporting, alongside proactive insight and advanced analytics that drive strategic decision‑making and commercial performance. Working closely with senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, finance, operations and product, the Head of Data & Insights translates complex data into clear, actionable insight, champions innovation through automation and predictive modelling, and ensures data is a trusted, value‑adding asset across the business.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
* Oversee report delivery: By managing the D&I team’s end-to-end process of report development and data analysis, ensuring timely and quality completion of deliverables and positive stakeholder engagement. This will include large elements of self-serve and ensuring dashboards meet business stakeholder needs with minimal manual intervention.
* Team development: Upskill, coach, and mentor a team of Data Analysts, fostering a high-performing and engaged analytics function.
* Team Management: Inspire, lead, and mentor the analytics team to promote professional development and continuous improvement whilst also facilitating a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
* Insights development: Design and implement a proactive insights program that drives strategic decisions and enhances tactical trading performance.
* Advanced analytics: Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions, including predictive modelling (Propensity to churn / buy et al), machine learning, and statistical tools.
* Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, strong data engineering expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for the business.
How you will work
At TalkTalk Business we understand the importance of flexibility and connection in the workplace. That’s why we have adopted a hybrid approach to working. Our way of working is to work 3 out of 5 days in the office (adjusted for colleagues who are part-time) at our HQ in Soapworks, Salford Quays with the remaining days offering the option to work from home. We want to ensure you enjoy the collaboration and connection of the office environment, combined with the convenience of remote working.
