As the very first point of contact for our guests, the Luggage Porter plays a pivotal role in setting the tone for an outstanding stay. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Welcome & Departure
Welcome all guests with genuine warmth and professionalism upon arrival, providing a seamless and memorable first impression of the hotel.
Escort guests to their rooms, presenting the hotels facilities and in-room features with confidence and attention to detail.
Assist guests with luggage handling upon arrival and departure, ensuring the utmost care and efficiency at all times.
Arrange and coordinate guest transportation, including taxis, private cars and airport transfers, liaising with external providers as required.
Bid farewell to departing guests with a personal and gracious touch, reinforcing a lasting positive impression of Roseate House London.
Security & Lobby Presentation
Maintain a visible and attentive presence at the hotel entrance, acting as a guardian of guest safety and security at all times.
Monitor the lobby, reception area and immediate hotel exterior, ensuring they are immaculately presented and welcoming throughout the day.
Conduct regular security checks, reporting any irregularities or concerns promptly to the Duty Manager or Front Office Manager.
Ensure all guest-facing areas remain clean, orderly and reflective of the hotels five-star standards.
Concierge & General Duties
Provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic recommendations on local restaurants, attractions, transport and experiences, acting as a trusted guide to London.
Assist with ad-hoc guest requests and liaise with other departments to ensure a seamless, personalised service at every touchpoint.
Support the Front Office team with general operational duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the hotels services, policies and emergency procedures.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
A genuine passion for hospitality and an instinctive desire to exceed guest expectations.
Impeccable personal presentation and a polished, confident demeanour.
Outstanding communication skills in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a distinct advantage.
The ability to remain calm, composed and attentive to detail in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
A proactive, can-do attitude where nothing is ever a problem.
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work a rotating rota, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional unsociable hours.
Integrity, discretion and professionalism in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
Desirable
Previous experience in a front-of-house, concierge, porter or doorman role within a luxury hotel or premium hospitality environment.
Knowledge of the Hyde Park, Paddington and Central London area.
A valid UK driving licence.
