A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an engineering professional with an eye for detail and experience working with and controlling product data.
Job Title: Senior Configuration Engineer
Salary: Circa £42,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The opportunity:
Using your previous product configuration experience, you will work within a close and motivated team to provide direct support to many key business products. There will also be opportunity to develop configuration skills and work towards professional accreditation.
The ideal candidate would ideally have:
• A background in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management within Defence, Aerospace, or similar industry
• Evidential experience interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for large and complex product assemblies
• Familiarity with principles of Configuration Management within aerospace or defence settings, including preparing and handling Configuration Management documentation for governance and control of project activities
• Experience managing and implementing engineering design changes across multi-stakeholder environments, including preparation and presentation of changes in change control meetings
• Ability to support audits on suppliers to ensure Configuration Management processes are observed throughout the supply chain
• Strong team working and communication skills enabling collaborative working with peers, functional, and project stakeholders
• An eye for detail applied with integrity in controlling engineering data, drawings, and CAD models
The ideal candidate must have:
• Experience with PTC Windchill as a Product Lifecycle Management tool
