This apprentice will work with every part of the supply chain team which includes purchasing, warehousing, transport and logistics, customer service, and production planning. Ambition and a passion for learning new things is important as studying is key to your success in the role and in your longer-term career. You’ll need good organisational and time management skills as you’ll have scheduled and ad-hoc tasks that will be part of your duties. Typical duties expected from the Supply Chain Apprentice: Purchasing: Data entry of purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes Planning & Transportation: Data entry and checking, identifying, and working with the team to close errors Customer Service: Chasing and sending documentation, confirming despatch and delivery information Warehousing: scanning and logging goods in and out, confirming stock and part numbers General administration duties across the department Contributing to projects to improve Lean Management in the department The successful apprentice will be able to work independently on tasks given to them and solve issues they come up against, as well as being resilient to cope with pressure and changing demands.
