This role offers a unique opportunity to work within one of London's eight designated Hyper-Acute Stroke Units (HASUs)--a centre of excellence for acute stroke rehabilitation and care. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy from the Emergency Department (ED) and for patients temporarily placed on non-stroke wards.

Main duties of the job
* Lead a Multidisciplinary Stroke Therapy TeamOversee a team that includes Band 6 Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy posts, delivering specialist care to stroke patients in the Emergency Department and on non-stroke wards.
* Advanced Clinical PracticePlay a major and specialist role in the advanced assessment, treatment, and clinical management of stroke patients--determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits, and appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
* Service Efficiency & InnovationDevelop dynamic, efficient, and effective OT working processes to support a fully multi-professional team approach in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Service Development & LeadershipCollaborate with Clinical Lead Therapists to shape and evolve the service in response to changing health and social care priorities.
* Team Management & Cross-Speciality WorkBe responsible for a team within your clinical area, with the potential to work across more than one speciality.
* Support a 7-Day Service ModelContribute to a 7-day working rota to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent
* State registered (HCPC)
* Post graduate clinical experience at a B6 level or above within Stroke
* CRB clearance
* Clinical Educators Qualification

* Member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy
Experience
Essential
* Clinical experience in the NHS or similar health service across range of acute/rehab settings
* Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at post graduate course/training relevant to the specialty
* Substantial Clinical experience in the field of neurology
* Experience of leading service development initiatives
* Experience in providing formal teaching to the MDT staff on the care pathway
* Experience of managing the development of junior members of staff/students
