We have a great opportunity for a Head Chef in a 4 star hotel in West Wales,
This is a great opportunity to join a hotel and more importantly a restaurant operation that has strong standards and are looking to elevate them further. The food cooked is a mix of modern British and European flavours and they are looking for a Head Chef to join this brigade, you will be working 5 days out of 7 and helping the operation develop the food offer possibly to grow to higher rewards. Your role will be to lead the kitchen team, so it is a great chance to input your skill and menu development in order to drive the restaurant forwards in what is a competitive market. The role provides a great opportunity for someone looking for their first Head Chef vacancy and so Senior Sous or Sous Chef's should consider applying for the role also.
Duties
- Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and execute menu items
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets the restaurant's standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary principles
- Proven ability to cook and prepare a variety of dishes
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
