The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team in a pivotal role supporting operational and strategic HR delivery.
This is a hands-on, advisory position where you will partner closely with managers across the business, managing complex employee relations cases, shaping HR policy, and contributing to organisational decision-making through data and insight.
You will also play a key role in upskilling our management population, ensuring they are confident, capable and compliant in how they lead their teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage a broad range of employee relations cases, including complex and high-risk matters, ensuring compliance with policy, employment law and internal KPIs
* Provide pragmatic, commercial HR advice to managers at all levels, clearly outlining risks and options
* Coach and develop line managers through training, guidance and day-to-day support
* Lead on the creation and review of HR policies and documentation, ensuring legal compliance and alignment to best practice
* Support consultation processes and organisational change, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders
* Analyse and present HR data and insights to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement
* Support ACAS processes and employment tribunal preparation, working closely with senior stakeholders
* Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring quality, compliance and risk mitigation
* Contribute to wider HR projects and business initiatives that support growth and operational effectiveness
* Act as a trusted HR partner, building strong relationships across the business
What We’re Looking For
Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR Generalist or Employee Relations focused role
* Proven track record of managing complex HR casework
* Experience advising and influencing managers at all levels
* Experience delivering training or coaching to line managers
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) – essential
* Degree or CIPD Level 7 – desirable
Knowledge & Skills
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
* Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex situations
* Strong analytical capability with experience using HR data to drive decisions
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident, proactive and able to challenge constructively
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
