We are a successful school with a large Sixth Form, located near Willenhall, with easy access to the M6 motorway network.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of French and Spanish to join our experienced and well-resourced Modern Foreign Languages department. The ideal candidate will share our vision to raise standards and contribute significantly to providing the best possible education for our students.
As EAL Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will:
1. Lead whole-school EAL initiatives by developing and implementing effective EAL teaching and learning strategies.
2. Provide support and guidance to colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for EAL students.
3. Liaise with colleagues and external providers to enable students who speak community languages to gain qualifications where available.
The successful candidate should:
* Demonstrate consistently good or outstanding classroom practice.
* Be passionate about the subject and contribute effectively to department and whole-school improvement plans.
* Be capable of teaching across the full age and ability range (11-16).
* Teaching KS5 is desirable.
* Drive forward academic outcomes for SEN students throughout the school.
* Be eager to support as a Form Tutor.
* Be willing to contribute to the life of the school.
* Hold high expectations of self and others.
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be flexible and a good team player.
