NWCare is one of the leading Domiciliary Care Agencies serving the community in healthcare for well over 50 years. We are expanding our service in the Omagh area and are now recruiting a Quality Monitoring Officer.
JOB SUMMARY
To ensure NWCare Service Users receive delivery of care in accordance with company policies and procedures and in line with company Aims and Objectives. The role involves carrying out quality monitoring, health and safety risk assessments in compliance with legislation and company policies, staff monitoring, and conducting spot checks on behalf of the company.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To carry out service quality monitoring, including onsite visits and Service User telephone monitoring.
2. To attend Service User reviews and contract monitoring reviews.
3. To follow up and record issues or complaints from Service Users or relatives, including referring complaints to the Registered Manager.
4. To report monitoring findings to the Registered Manager for auditing and to recommend improvements for any under-performance, via a monthly quality monitoring report.
5. To monitor staff and Service Users according to quality monitoring schedules and standards.
6. To conduct Health and Safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company policies.
7. To promote NWCare's Aims and Objectives as outlined in the Statement of Purpose.
8. To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
9. To maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with the Confidentiality Policy and GDPR legislation.
10. To attend Care Management reviews as required.
11. To report quality issues or concerns regarding company systems and processes to the Registered Manager.
12. To ensure timely completion and submission of reports, action plans, and quality improvement plans.
13. To participate in performance reviews and development planning.
14. To work across all areas and locations as needed.
15. To participate in business continuity plans, including covering rotas and holding the on-call phone as required, with a generous on-call allowance.
Qualifications and Experience:
* QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or above.
* Experience in monitoring and compliance of quality systems and processes.
* Registered with the NI Social Care Council and/or the Nursing Midwifery Council.
* Evidence of personal and professional development.
* Knowledge of quality assurance systems and RQIA minimum standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* High accuracy standards.
* Flexible working hours to meet business needs.
* QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a Quality Monitoring Officer within healthcare.
