As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

Responsibilities
* Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of residents
* Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
* Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are always used
* Manage all stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
* Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements, such as fridge temperature checks
* Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment
* Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
* Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
* Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of residents
* Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
