The role of the security officer is complex and varied, an example of the roles to be completed are
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To screen passengers and baggage in accordance with the laid down procedures.
2. To search baggage as required.
3. To carry out X-ray duties.
4. To screen airport personnel in accordance with laid down procedures.
5. To maintain the cleanliness of the terminal.
6. To assist the On Call Manager with Airport/Airline emergency procedures as published in the relevant manuals.
7. To assist the Airside Co-Ordinator with any Hold Baggage Reconciliation functions as required.
These disciplines require specialist training and approved training sign off.

Experience in dealing with the public, in a customer service-related position.

15. Means of transport to meet the needs of the airport business hours.
Willingness to work in a shift environment (including weekends, bank holiday and public holidays)
