About The Team

You will work in the Collections team within Credit Risk, a team of seven people (the department has about 60 FTE), focused on multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. We support each other and help you settle in and learn. Given the current economic environment in the UK, this is an exciting and fulfilling time to join.

About The Role

As a Credit Risk Analyst in the Collections strategy team, you will harness the increasing amount of data to make more informed decisions for our financial services business. You will create a better experience for customers experiencing payment difficulties.

Reporting to the Senior Credit Risk Manager (Collections), you will collaborate with the business to make timely decisions. Your responsibilities include:

* Providing performance analytics on Collection strategies.

* Collaborating closely with Customer Care to gain real‑time insight into customer challenges.

* Creative problem‑solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
* Degree‑educated and/or practical experience in a similar role.
* Comfortable with SQL, SAS, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in Credit Risk, especially in Collections or Arrears Management, is advantageous but not essential.
* Team player who quickly establishes relationships with stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills, confidence to challenge and ask the right questions.
* You thrive in a flat hierarchy and use your voice to influence decisions.

Benefits

* Flexible, hybrid working model.
* Inclusive culture and environment.
* £250 flexible benefits allowance.
* 27 days holiday plus bank holidays.
* Udemy learning access.
* Bonus potential based on performance and business.
* Up to 25 % discount on Very.co.uk.
