About the Role: As a Primary Learning Support Assistant (LSA Primary), you will be an essential part of the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to deliver lessons that inspire and engage pupils. Your support will contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning experience for all children. Your Responsibilities as a Primary LSA: Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional help. Contribute to the preparation of lesson materials and classroom resources. Support pupils’ emotional and social development within the classroom setting. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes. Record observations and progress to support pupil development and assessment. Participate in extracurricular activities, school trips, and supervision duties as required. Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment for learning. Primary Learning Support Assistant Qualifications: Previous school-based experience as a Learning Support Assistant – Primary is preferred. CACHE Level 2/3 or an equivalent qualification in Teaching Assistant or similar is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability. A genuine enthusiasm for working with children in a primary school setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive educational team.
