Principal/Associate Archaeological Consultant Greater Leeds Area OR Birmingham/West Midlands £45-60k DOE Forming part of the senior Archaeology Leadership Team working alongside the Director, this role is a key development of a small’ish but growing Heritage and Archaeological consultancy. Initially working remotely from the main office and team, this role provides the opportunity to eventually develop into a new office and team, increasing the company scope. This role will be suitable for an existing Principal or Associate or could be a good Senior seeking the next step. Key Responsibilities * Support the Director in managing and delivering archaeological consultancy projects. * Oversee or contribute to report production, including DBAs, EIA scoping, ES Chapters, setting and significance assessments. * Liaise with clients, contractors, and curators to ensure quality and timely project delivery. * Project design and management of archaeological fieldwork. * In future, manage a small team of consultants, including workload planning and report review. * Contribute to tendering and business development. * Provide mentorship and quality assurance for the wider archaeology team. * Maintain high standards of health & safety and professional practice.
