We have exciting part‑time opportunities for reliable and passionate Nurses and Paramedics to provide 100% patient care in a controlled environment. This role is part‑time, 15 hours a week and is based within the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care hub at St Leonard’s in Dorset.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high quality person‑centred approach to care delivery, considering people’s safety, privacy and dignity at all times.
* Assess, treat and manage patients on a caseload, and organise referrals to appropriate teams within the wider Dorset Healthcare team.
* Provide specialist care and interventions, assessments and treatments to patients referred to the SPoA team via phone and email from GP surgeries, 999, acute hospital wards, NHS 111 and other care teams.
* Give specialist advice to other staff regarding the management and care of patients/service users.
* Devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.
* Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
* Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
* Actively promote and contribute to a performance culture within the SPoA team and the Integrated Urgent Care service.
Eligibility and Requirements
* Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost of the check. Applicants with a valid DBS certificate from a subscription to the DBS update service may present that instead of a new check.
* Applicants who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply for this position.
