Network Team Lead – 6-Month ContractVIQU IT has a customer seeking an experienced Network Team Lead to join their team, combining strong hands-on technical networking expertise with excellent leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.This is a varied and hands-on role where you will act as a senior figure within the Network team, supporting both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and the successful planning and delivery of network-related projects and remediation activities. While remaining technically involved, this role will also require close collaboration with senior management, coordination across teams, and oversight of project and operational priorities.Network Team Lead Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership across the network infrastructure environmentSupport BAU network operations, ensuring performance, stability, and securityPlan and deliver remediation and infrastructure improvement projectsCoordinate incidents, changes, and operational priorities across the Network teamWork closely with senior management and stakeholders to align technical and business prioritiesManage vendor maintenance activities and assess operational impactSupport workload planning, resource coordination, and project deliveryMaintain clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersNetwork Team Lead Skills & ExperienceStrong enterprise networking experience across routing, switching, and securityHands-on technical expertise with Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco Nexus, MPLS, and SolarWindsPrevious experience in a senior or lead Network Engineering positionProven ability to plan, organise, and deliver technical projectsExperience supporting BAU operations alongside project-based workGood understanding of ITSM processes including incident and change managementStrong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadershipAbout the RoleThis role will require onsite presence in Glasgow 2–3 days per week.The successful candidate will be someone who remains technically strong and hands-on, while also being capable of leading initiatives, coordinating priorities, and acting as a key point of communication within the Network team and wider business.Apply now to speak with VIQU IT in confidence.
