Job Description:
Owing to an increasingly busy workload our Client is seeking to offer a more comprehensive design service therefore an opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join their Leeds office.
Current project workload includes a number of flood risk assessments and detailed design packages for Domestic, Residential, Commercial, Retail and Leisure projects. Your role will be to carryout flood risk assessments for a number of sites before going on to propose design solutions for tackling and resolving problems in the surrounding drainage networks. Work is likely to include a mixture of refurbishment and new build works. You will also have a good knowledge of S37, 278 Highways and S104, 106, 185 Drainage.
Working to a targeted cost you will be required to provide innovative and sustainable solutions within agreed timescales and in line with the project brief as agreed with your Client.
Person Specification:
Applicants for this role must be able to demonstrate extensive UK based drainage experience.
You will need to be familiar with industry design software packages MircoDrainage & PDS and should be confident in your ability to work under minimal supervision.
Previous roles will have given you a good grounding in Flood Risk Assessments and you will have a good level of technical knowledge in relation to drainage design techniques.
Ideally you will be working towards Chartered Engineer status and will be capable of managing your own busy workload in line with other members of the team.
