MSS Facilities Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Waste Operative to join the team based in Newport, South Wales. This is a full-time, permanent position. The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments. Key Responsibilities: Waste Handling: Collect, segregate, and manage waste materials generated within our facilities, including recyclables, non-recyclables, hazardous, and non-hazardous substances. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, health, and safety standards governing waste management activities, including proper disposal methods and documentation. Equipment Operation: Future: Operate and maintain waste management equipment such as compactors, balers, and recycling machinery to facilitate efficient waste processing and disposal. Safety Protocol Adherence: Execute all waste management tasks with a strict adherence to safety protocols, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in ongoing safety training programs. Qualifications and Experience: Forklift Licence is essential Effective decision maker Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
