About us:
The Highway Maintenance Team currently has a vacancy for an Asset Management Technical Support Officer.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop the management of highway assets and the handling of highway enquiries.
About the Role:
The role involves administering office systems, both manual and computerised (Alloy), including maintaining records related to frontline operational services, member and resident enquiries, and complaints. The role requires ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing support for the Environmental Management team to optimise Alloy capacity.
Additionally, the role includes coordinating and reporting on the highway network's condition, maintaining asset inventories, maintenance and improvement plans, and informing future investment priorities. Inspections of network elements will also be required.
The postholder will respond to internal and external enquiries, including those from Elected Members, regarding highway works.
About you:
You should be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, capable of building relationships with customers, elected members, businesses, partners, and stakeholders.
Experience in a Highway Maintenance environment is preferred. The ideal candidate will use initiative, seek knowledge-sharing opportunities, and work effectively as part of a busy team while managing their workload.
