About the Role
As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our foster parents and ensuring that every child in our care achieves outstanding outcomes. With a competitive salary of up to £40,081.10 per annum (dependent on experience), this position offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to balance office collaboration with the comfort of working from home.

Location
This role is hybrid, supporting our Foster Parents across Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to our regional head office in Bromsgrove.

Your Responsibilities
* Support foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
* Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Ensure foster carers understand their roles and responsibilities as outlined in FCA policies.
* Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
* Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs and provide necessary support.
* Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
* Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual care packages.
* Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
* Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need
* A Social Work qualification.
* Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
* A full driving licence.
