Role: Head of Events Rate: £415 p/d – Via Umbrella Location: London HQ – Hybrid Model (2-3 days p/w on site) Duration: 5 months Start Date: ASAP We're looking for a hands-on Head of Events/Events Lead to plan and execute a range of events, including events, panels, keynote presentations, and small conferences. You'll be responsible for the full event lifecycle, from initial concept to post-event analysis. A key part of this role involves sourcing speakers and panellists, developing engaging event content, and ensuring we attract the right audience. You must be comfortable with a very hands-on approach, which includes scouting venues, meeting with suppliers, and managing event diaries. Skills & Experience Experience in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable. Project management, creating and managing event plans (agreements, budget, staffing, running orders, strong attention to detail Experience of managing online events on various platforms as well as Salesforce CRM is desirable along with a strong understanding of the importance of event content and a holistic approach to event design and execution. Comfortable working in a small team and wearing multiple hats. An Understanding of importance of the KPIs and use of tools to measure impact. Analyse data, provide event reports and present event updates to internal stakeholders and Senior Management. Excellent communication skills and comfortable dealing with tech-centric stakeholders Key Responsibilities Planning & Execution: Organize and manage all logistical aspects of events, including small conferences, panels, and keynote talks. Content & Speakers: Research, identify, and secure suitable speakers and panellists. Develop compelling content for each event. Audience Engagement: Collaborate with the team to ensure we are attracting the target audience. Supplier & Venue Management: Source and negotiate with venues and other event suppliers. Post-Event Analysis: Utilize data to provide post-activity reporting and analyse event performance. Flexibility: Be prepared to adapt to last-minute changes and have backup plans in place for speakers or venues.
