RISK LEAD
* Circa £600 per day (via Umbrella)
* 12-Month Contract
* Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site (Stansted)

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client is a major UK infrastructure organisation delivering large-scale transformation across the aviation sector. Their Stansted Transformation Programme is at the forefront of operational and digital change, improving resilience and passenger experience. Due to continued programme growth, we are seeking an experienced Risk Lead to champion proactive risk management and governance excellence across the portfolio.
THE RISK LEAD ROLE:
As a Risk Lead, you will take ownership of all risk management activity across the Stansted Transformation Programme. You’ll lead the risk team, embed proactive risk culture, and ensure programme-wide visibility of threats and opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading risk management for the STN-TP portfolio.
* Facilitating risk workshops and embedding ISO31000-aligned processes.
* Performing quantitative and qualitative risk analysis (QCRA/QSRA).
* Maintaining and administering the programme risk database (riskHive).
* Producing monthly and quarterly risk reports and presenting findings to senior leadership.
* Providing risk management training to programme and project teams.
* Driving continuous improvement in risk processes, tools, and culture.
RISK LEAD ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Proven background in risk management for major infrastructure projects (aviation, transport, or energy preferred).
* Qualified in risk management (IRM, APM, or equivalent experience).
* Strong understanding of ISO31000, APM, or Institute of Risk Management methodologies.
* Skilled in risk facilitation, risk reporting, and quantitative analysis.
* Experienced user of riskHive, PRA, or Safran Risk tools.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
