What will the role involve?
* Lead and develop a high-performing regulatory enforcement team.
* Make delegated disciplinary and regulatory decisions in accordance with RICS policies and the principles of good regulation.
* Oversee complex investigations and prosecutions before the RICS Regulatory Tribunal.
* Provide authoritative legal advice on regulatory matters, professional conduct, and the enforceability of RICS standards.
* Instruct and manage external Counsel to ensure quality, collaboration, and cost efficiency.
* Implement systems and process improvements that strengthen decision-making and case preparation.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to continuously enhance RICS’s regulatory framework and uphold public confidence.
Who are we looking for? We’re seeking individuals with:
* Qualification as a solicitor with substantial experience in regulatory investigations, prosecutions, or disciplinary work.
* Proven ability to manage complex case preparation and make sound, evidence-based decisions under pressure.
* Experience leading and mentoring small legal or regulatory teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication — able to present complex issues clearly and persuasively.
* Strong understanding of the principles of good regulation and professional accountability.
