Key responsibilities and duties:
1. Carry out guarding duties to a high standard, following the Fleetlands Business Manual procedures;
2. Stay familiar with relevant procedures and report anomalies or needed amendments to line management;
3. Comply with all Health & Safety legislation, proactively reporting hazards and accidents;
4. Perform vehicle searches and control access to the site;
5. Maintain data, write reports on security breaches or defects, and forward to Line Manager;
6. Operate security systems, CCTV, and alarms;
7. Respond to emergencies according to local procedures;
8. Prevent fires, liaise with emergency services, and cooperate with other security providers;
9. Safeguard classified information and materials;
10. Operate communication systems effectively;
11. Assist in maintaining site safety through de-icing and snow clearance;
12. Monitor high-risk areas for floods/spills and respond accordingly;
13. Manage keys and record information in systems;
14. Lock/unlock buildings and conduct patrols;
15. Receive parcels/packages outside business hours and handle mail processing;
16. Perform regular patrols during silent hours to check for breaches and fire hazards;
17. Assist in training other security staff;
18. Perform additional duties as required with proper training;
19. Adhere to QMS, SMS, EMS, and related manuals.
Competencies:
Core (e): Security Clearance, ability to work independently, planning and organizing, record-keeping, resource management, service provision, full UK driving license.
Functional (e): Good communication, IT literacy, decision-making, fitness level.
Organizational Relationships: Reports to the Security Team Leader.
Qualifications & Training (e/d): SIA Licence, First Aid, Sisys control pass (d), CCTV operation (d).
Experience: Similar role experience and shift work experience are advantageous.
