Why this job matters
The PMO Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Project Management Office by ensuring consistent governance, reporting, and delivery practices across projects and programs. This position requires a versatile professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, including process compliance, stakeholder coordination, and data analysis, to enable successful project outcomes. It also comes with an accountability to develop and maintain a programme management system ideally utilising the MS365 power applications or similar.
What you’ll be doing
* Governance & Compliance
o Ensure adherence to PMO standards, frameworks, and methodologies across all projects.
o Maintain documentation templates, process guides, and compliance checklists.
* Reporting & Analytics
o Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
o Track project performance against scope, schedule, and budget.
o Develop and maintain a programme management system using MS365 power apps or similar
* Resource & Financial Management
o Support resource allocation and capacity planning.
o Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Risk & Issue Management
o Monitor project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
o Maintain risk registers and mitigation plans.
* Stakeholder Engagement
o Coordinate communication between project teams, sponsors, and leadership.
o Facilitate PMO meetings, workshops, and governance reviews.
* Continuous Improvement
o Identify opportunities to enhance PMO processes and tools.
o Support training and onboarding for project managers and team members.
You'll have the following skills and experience
* Experience in PMO or project coordination roles.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, PMBOK).
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Power BI, SharePoint).
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
