World Fuel Services currently requires a Terminal Operator to oversee HSSEQ, cargo transfer, discharge and storage activities on behalf of the UK’s leading independent marine fuel specialist. The role holder will support the business within a team on a shift pattern at the Falmouth Marine Terminal. Key Responsibilities: Engage in all training and assessments for continuous improvement of the control of major hazards. Respond to any incidents in accordance to your role within the emergency response plans to control and mitigate consequences. Receive cargo and vessel transfer into storage facility in line with standard operating procedures. Discharge product from storage facility to vessels and trucks in line with standard operating procedures. Complete all daily routines as instructed by line manager. Tank gauging for vessel movements and month end stock taking. Maintaining computerised record system of product movements. Ensure product is maintained at the correct temperature. Engage in all training and assessments for continuous improvement of the control of major hazards. Respond to any incidents in accordance to your role within the emergency response plans to control and mitigate consequences. Ensure all operations are carried out in a timely and safe manner with special attention to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies. Ensure correct documentation is completed prior, during and after all transactions. Training: commitment to continuous improvement and support for terminal first aid and fire warden requirements. Taking ownership of terminal housekeeping and cleanliness PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS): Strong computer skills (particularly Excel) are required for recording information and training purposes are essential. Ability to work within a shift pattern working hours is essential and the ability and willingness to support ad hoc out of hours working is essential Mechanical operations and maintenance knowledge and work experience is essential. Strong written and oral English communication skills are essential Strong numerical skills are essential. Experience of working to strict Health & Safety procedures and experience of implementing Health and Safety practices is essential. Must be comfortable working at heights in excess of 16 meters (Tank tops) is essential. Strong team working skills and experience is essential Experienced in ship to shore product transfer operations (COG) chemical, Oil & Gas products is highly desirable Fork Lift Truck Driver experience is desirable WKC
