Location: Newbury or London + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Hybrid Model: We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2‑3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

What You’ll Do
As a Private Sector Bid Manager within our newly formed Bid Centre of Excellence, you will be at the forefront, breaking new ground that delivers growth. You will shape the bidding activities of cross‑functional teams, actively promoting a high‑performance culture and a winning bid management process.
Ultimately, you will apply superior story‑telling skills to translate our deep understanding of the customer’s business challenges and vision into compelling proposals. This will require you to blend support from the Solution, Service, Commercial, Technical and/or Regulatory teams to create joined‑up, impactful customer offers.
Responsibilities
* Driving editorial and proposal creation excellence. Providing customer focus and a clear articulation of the VodafoneThree value proposition, meeting and exceeding customer evaluation requirements.
* Positively contributing to the ongoing transformation of the Bid Centre of Excellence in terms of continuous improvement of bid management processes, tools and technologies.
* Early engagement: Coaching our internal stakeholders in the best use of our Capture Management process.
* Implementing effective management protocols within our governance process. Building and managing the Bid Plan so that all bid deliverables are compliant and demonstrate added value to the customer.
* Ensuring that risks are tracked, understood, mitigated or accepted by the appropriate stakeholders.
* Demonstrating effective communication skills at all levels, applying robust stakeholder management.
* Applying a well‑rounded appreciation of sales processes and methodologies.
Who You Are
* A demonstrable record of success in the end‑to‑end delivery of winning bids (ideally within the Telco and Unified Communications market).
* A ‘challenger’ mindset; ability to demonstrate thought leadership internally and within customer‑facing situations.
* A strong intellect: quick, thinking with the ability to understand, manage and influence multiple stakeholders. Able to influence at senior levels within the organisation.
* An excellent understanding of bid processes, procedures and best practices.
* Content and collaboration tools/platform experience, including proficiency with MS O365.
* University degree in a quantitative subject and postgraduate business qualification or experience in an analytical environment.
* Ideally APMP Qualified to Foundation level (minimum).
