Our client, a distinguished entity in the procurement and supply chain sector, is currently seeking an IT Buyer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is integral to the implementation of category strategies and entails sourcing, data analysis, and operational support to facilitate effective purchasing and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct end-to-end sourcing activities for specific areas, adhering to established supply chain processes and employing various sourcing methods, including e-auctions.
Manage sub-categories and suppliers as directed, acting as the primary interface for these relationships to ensure all contracts are legally and ethically compliant.
Carry out effective supplier on-boarding and due diligence activities.
Support order management activities, including catalogue creation, maintenance, and management, resolving issues and streamlining processes.
Generate and analyse data and reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance transactional efficiencies.
Renew outline agreements and create contracts using Ariba.
Address day-to-day operational supplier concerns.
Function as the main Supply Chain Management (SCM) contact for internal customers and suppliers within the designated category.
Foster a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process to develop robust working relationships with SCM teams and business stakeholders, optimizing category performance and value for money (risk, cost, and performance).
Support supply chain projects and initiatives actively.
Job Requirements:
Professional knowledge of supply chain and procurement systems and processes, particularly SAP, Ariba, and e-sourcing systems.
Preferably, experience in indirect category procurement within a centralised procurement function.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience working collaboratively with internal and supplier stakeholders.
Membership or active pursuit of membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS).
Demonstrable skills in effective stakeholder engagement and tail-end spend management, including tactical sourcing, e-auctions, and negotiation.
