Physiotherapy - Children and Young People – NHS Lothian
1.0 WTE Band 6 – MSK OP and IP
We are seeking a creative and innovative physiotherapist to join our acute team, working across MSK inpatient and outpatient services as a Band 6 physiotherapist. We welcome applications from those with relevant experience across various specialties and a keen interest in working with children, young people, and their families, focusing on rehabilitation and enablement following trauma, orthopaedic surgery, or soft tissue injuries.
Previous experience working with children and young people is advantageous due to the age range of our patient population. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of physiotherapists, clinical support workers, multidisciplinary colleagues, and partner organizations, contributing to rehabilitation in partnership with families and young patients.
The post is based within the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh, NHS Lothian. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, including orthopaedic inpatients (trauma and elective procedures) and musculoskeletal outpatients. You may work with children, young people, and their families in various settings to support their rehabilitation journey.
This position is ideal for someone interested in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, committed to lifelong learning, and dedicated to service improvement to meet the needs of young patients and their families. We support ongoing professional development across the four pillars of practice.
There is a requirement for on-call duties, with support and training provided.
