Environment Health Safety Lead
Location: Midlands & South East (Field-based, Multi-site)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
A leading multi-site industrial group is seeking a Environment Health Safety Lead to support its plant operations across the Midlands and Greater London area. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced safety professional who is comfortable operating independently across multiple sites and influencing operational teams to deliver continuous improvement.
The Role:
As a key member of the HSE team, you will partner with site leadership to ensure compliance, identify risk, and promote a proactive safety culture. Regular travel between heavy industrial sites is required, and success will depend on your ability to manage safety autonomously while engaging and educating others.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety inspections
* Support and lead on LOTO procedures, confined space entry, working at height, and other high-risk activities
* Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and legal obligations
* Lead or support accident and incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up corrective actions
