We are looking for
a proactive, supportive band 7 nurse with proven clinical leadership and decision-making skills to continue providing strong leadership.
You will need to demonstrate expert knowledge surrounding paediatric nursing and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care for patients who attend the ward.
We take pride in our strong interdisciplinary team working ethos and have close links with our in-house Paediatric Faculty of Nurse Education which provides ongoing leadership and development opportunities for our Tertiary Children’s Hospital.
Professional
·To ensure that registration with the NMC of all staff members within the team is maintained.
·To be aware of and adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct for nurses, midwives and health visitors.
·To take personal responsibility for his/her own professional development and updating. This includes remaining up to date with changing clinical practice and undertaking further training as necessary
·To participate in education, teaching and research, as necessary, and to promote these skills within the team.
·To co-operate with other healthcare professionals and to gain an understanding of their professional role and responsibilities.
·To maintain his/her appearance and behaviour in accordance with the standards expected of a member of the nursing profession.
·To ensure that the professional update requirements for all trained staff are assessed and recorded annually following individual employee development reviews.
·To provide professional leadership to the multidisciplinary team, actively participating in the support and the implementation of the Trust’s Nursing and Midwifery Strategy
