Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation: Review designs, reports, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
* Development Abnormals: Analyse and allocate correct provisions for site-specific requirements.
* Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to validate project viability.
* Cash-Flow Management: Project cost timings to assess financial impact and finance costs.
* Viability Management: Maintain cost viability throughout the planning process until project commencement and handover to the commercial team.
* Business Planning: Prepare bi-monthly business plan updates and quarterly cost base reviews.
* Core Range Costs: Maintain and update housebuild core range costs.
* Commercial Team Liaison: Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure accurate costing and specifications.
* Budget Management: Load and manage viabilities on budget software (e.g., Eque2 Housebuilder).
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience: Proven housebuilding or construction industry experience.
* Education: HNC/HND in Construction or related field.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and estimating software; experience with budget systems (e.g., Eque2 Housebuilder).
* Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise across departments.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy in costs and timings.
