Deputy Director for Education and Inclusion
Base pay range
You will be an experienced, seasoned leader whose responsibilities include: * Fostering collaboration among Education Leaders and Partners across the system to enhance inclusivity and improve educational outcomes for children and young people throughout Oxfordshire. * Overseeing daily operations and delivery of statutory education and inclusion services for a workforce that supports children from pre‑birth to 25 years (or 19 years under certain legal frameworks). * Line‑managing Assistant Directors responsible for Sufficiency, Standards, Effectiveness and Performance, and SEND and Inclusion. * Covering the Deputy Chief Superintendent role when required, and leading strategic planning, technical management and service delivery for Education and Inclusion. * Championing best practices, evidence‑based improvement and advocacy for children and young people, ensuring their needs and outcomes remain at the forefront of all initiatives.

You are a seasoned professional with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of this role. Required attributes include: * In‑depth understanding of relevant regulations, legislation and best practices for education and inclusion. * Proven track record of leading large services in a complex, diverse organisation, managing constant change and inspiring the workforce to achieve continuous improvement. * Experience fostering a high‑performance, cost‑effective culture that delivers outstanding outcomes through organisational structure, working methods and contracts. * Ability to embody our core values – always learning, be kind and care, equality and integrity, taking responsibility, daring to do it differently – in all you do. * Passion for delivering stand‑out public services that make every moment the best it can be for the residents of Oxfordshire.
