Woolston Brook is a small, specialist school for children and young people aged 7-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides an inclusive environment where all learners are cared for, valued and respected. Woolston Brook School is seeking to appoint an Outreach Support Worker on a 6 month fixed term basis.
The role
Under the instruction and guidance of the SLT, and in accordance with individual risk assessments, support the school in working with individuals and groups of children who are experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties, through the delivery of targeted tuition, intervention and support programmes.
Provide outreach support for pupils who are presenting with behaviour that challenges, poor attendance and/or are at risk of exclusion / criminal or sexual exploitation.
Provide an effective link between the school, families and the local community.
