This role is a key leadership position focused on shaping the future of health and nutrition through scientific and regulatory expertise. The successful candidate will work across teams to lead on horizon scanning, regulatory changes, and strategic development in health & nutrition sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SRA Subject Matter Expertise: Focus on health & nutrition areas requiring a cross-segment SRA approach, ensuring connectivity internally and externally.
2. Emerging Topics: Lead initiatives on issues like ultra-processed foods, the gut-brain axis, and nutrient density.
3. Issues/Opportunity Management: Identify and communicate emerging issues and opportunities, developing Mars SRA positions and advocacy tools.
4. Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate across business units to develop and implement SRA strategies.
5. External Network Management: Build relationships with external scientific and regulatory networks to stay informed on latest advancements.
Qualifications:
* BSc in nutrition, food science, veterinary sciences, or related field; MSc or PhD preferred.
* At least 10 years in SRA with expertise in human and/or pet food health and nutrition.
* Experience in horizon scanning, managing large programs, and building external networks.
