Remit is recruiting on behalf of R S Bodyrepairs, which offers an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career and gaining a recognized qualification in the Automotive Industry.
The apprentice program involves working full-time while earning and gaining practical experience within the Automotive Industry environment. The program typically includes attending college for the first 3 years, with the last year based within the workshop. A qualified vehicle paint technician applies paint and finishes to vehicles recently repaired by the vehicle body technician. You will learn to recognize various materials used on vehicles, prepare surfaces before painting, and develop skills in estimating costs, health and safety, and technical procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent practical skills
* Ability to work quickly and pay attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Nationals at level 4 or above in English and Maths
* Preferred but not mandatory: Craft Subject and Physics/Science
* Desire to work in the Automotive Industry
* Confidence in problem-solving
