Title:
Subject Matter Expert/WAKE (Remote)
Overview:
KBR, Inc., based in Cambridge, MA, seeks an experienced engineer to support wake turbulence research. The role involves managing data for wake turbulence using various sensors and supporting FAA's NextGen initiative. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities:
1. Support activities at the Aviation Weather Research Facility (AWRF) on Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC).
2. Develop and execute test plans for vendor equipment.
3. Conduct tests and analyze data.
4. Evaluate sensor performance against emerging technologies and applications.
5. Apply analytical techniques to test data evaluation.
6. Travel to standards or government meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience with FAA wake turbulence initiatives and data analysis.
3. Experience collaborating with vendors.
4. Knowledge of wake turbulence sensors.
5. Experience in wake turbulence modeling and simulation.
Preferred: Long-standing involvement with FAA wake turbulence projects.
