With a nationwide network of laboratories and offices, offering a wide range of construction testing, inspection and compliance services, CTS supports all sectors of the construction market including infrastructure, commercial, rail, road, residential, airports, tunnelling, mining, and utilities as well as brownfield regeneration.

CTS offers full lifecycle services covering everything from pre-build site evaluations and designs to the testing of construction materials through to the management of the built environment, undertaking physical as well as non-destructive surveys and assessments of buildings, structures and highways.

We are growing and are delighted to be opening 6 new sites in 2026, including 3 in the area covered by this role - exciting times to be joining us!


Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager covering Scotland and Northern England. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding market share for our materials testing services. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring revenue targets are met and exceeded.


Package: Competitive base salary, generous quarterly bonus with an additional, uncapped commission on all revenue achieved above of your end of year target. You will also receive a company EV car and competitive benefits package

* Organized and able to manage multiple ongoing enquiries simultaneously


Desired Experience

* Proven track record in business development / sales within the infrastructure, construction or materials testing industry
* Understanding of the infrastructure industry, ideally with technical knowledge of materials testing
* Experience working with all types of material testing customers such as contractors, consultants, material suppliers, developers etc.
