We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant to support our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and team management within restaurant, hotel, or catering environments. Responsibilities
* Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
* Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
* Manage team tasks, delegate responsibilities, and oversee service delivery during busy periods
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas
* Support food production processes, including ingredient organisation and inventory management
* Contribute to maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction
* Assist in training new staff members on operational procedures and service protocols
* Oversee the serving process, ensuring timely delivery of orders and excellent guest experiences
* Support the management team in daily operational tasks within the restaurant or hotel environment
Experience
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurant or hotel settings
* Supervising experience with team management responsibilities in hospitality environments
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
* Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable
* Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food safety procedures and kitchen equipment handling
* Experience working as a barista or in bar service is advantageous but not essential
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise a team effectively
