Assistant Market Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Markets team. Working under the direction of the Market Officer, you will support the day-to-day operations of the council's markets, including Newmarket. Responsibilities include opening and closing the market, basic cleaning and maintenance, ensuring facilities are safe and tidy through regular inspections, and deputising for the Market Officer by liaising with traders and handling rent collection. The role involves working Saturdays and some unsociable hours, with flexibility required to meet service needs.
* 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £25,583 - £25,989
* Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working
* 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent)
