Technical Network has been retained by a market-leading intelligent automation and industrial robotics manufacturer, seeking a Business Development Manager to represent the company's after-sales products and services, providing best-in-class support to customers.
Aftersales Support Manager (Robotics / Factory Automation)
Salary: £50,000–60,000 + car + BUPA + excellent commission
Duties:
1. Work in coordination with Account Managers to proactively seek out sales and growth opportunities, supporting existing clients to ensure optimal customer experience based on robot uptime, efficiency, and optimization.
2. Identify end-user manufacturing customers to offer innovative robotic and factory automation systems, products, and services.
3. Identify business opportunities for new robot sales, upgrades, spare parts, service contracts, training, or consultancy services.
4. Visit customers to maintain and develop existing accounts and expand the robot and automation business.
5. Translate customer technical requirements into solutions.
6. Generate quotations and technical proposals that meet client requirements.
7. Visit customers post-delivery and commissioning to ensure successful sign-off.
Requirements:
The role requires a driven individual with a willingness to understand the technical aspects of factory automation and industrial robotic solutions. Candidates should have a proven track record in selling industrial automation products (such as controllers, sensors, actuators), industrial robots, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), automated guided vehicles (AGV), or similar products into the manufacturing sector.
1. Demonstrated success in technical solutions sales, winning new business, and growing existing client accounts within industrial automation/robotics/sensors.
2. Experience in managing projects, preferably in machinery or robotics with downstream automation of production processes.
3. Commercial acumen related to project costs, contracts, margins, and sales pricing.
4. Qualifications at HNC/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
5. A positive attitude with a desire to take ownership of territory and grow market share.
