Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Director of Membership Services to lead and enhance our membership engagement initiatives.
The Director of Membership Services is a senior position which reports directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The position has responsibility for the leadership, delivery and development of the Chamber’s business & commercial services. The post-holder will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, retention, service and impact of the Chamber’s business services and will provide alignment between membership, marketing, events and business support activity.
The successful candidate will shape, improve and deliver the Chamber’s value proposition to businesses, ensuring that they achieve positive impact and outcomes for new and existing clients against objectives.
Candidate Profile
* Proven expertise in either membership programme development, community building, or curating senior-level stakeholder engagement strategies in a relevant environment - eg: another membership body, a professional services or advisory firm, or possibly having experience of owning-managing a relevant small business in the city region.
* Excellent team coaching and development skills, demonstating inclusive, collaborative and empathetic leadership
* Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Analytical abilities to interpret data insights and align strategies with organisational goals
* Proficiency in CRM platforms, marketing tools, and/or membership management systems
* Demonstrative experience in project management and problem-solvingAbility to adapt and proactively address changing business needs and needs of members
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
* An understanding and passion for helping businesses across the local economy grow sustainably is essential.
Remuneration
A competitive basic salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience will be offered the successful candidate, as well as an attractive Chamber benefits package. In addition, the successful candidate can expect career development opportunities in line with performance and impact.
