How you'll make an impact
As Finance Systems Accountant, you'll sit within the Finance Systems Team and play a critical role in modernising the firm's financial systems. Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you'll lead on upgrades, reporting enhancements, and process automation. You'll work closely with colleagues in Finance and Technology to ensure that core systems run smoothly and are continually improved to meet business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Identifying and implementing finance systems and process improvements, reducing manual input and improving data quality.
* Managing the performance and upgrades of key financial systems, including the firm's Practice Management System.
* Developing and improving reporting capabilities using SQL and SSRS.
* Supporting key finance transformation projects, including system implementations and automation initiatives.
* Providing second-line systems support and delivering user training across finance and non-finance teams.

You're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who enjoys combining your finance expertise with a passion for systems and process improvement. You've got experience working with finance systems-ideally in a professional services environment-and enjoy getting hands-on with data and reporting tools.
You'll bring:
* Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes.
* Proven experience in a similar finance systems role, including project delivery.
* Excellent technical skills, ideally with experience of Aderant (or similar), SQL, and SSRS.
* A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively across teams.
* Confidence in delivering training and translating complex systems into clear guidance for users.
